About the workplace

At Tellusgatan's short-term stay, you will meet individuals with varying needs for support in their daily lives. The target group for the operation is children with autism, autism-like conditions, and intellectual disabilities.

Job responsibilities

Your role as a support educator is to create structure and participation in the children's daily lives. You do this by contributing with in-depth competence to strengthen a pedagogical approach and adherence to methods in the workgroup. You work both pedagogically and practically, contributing to creating a safe and stimulating environment where each child can grow on their own terms.

You are expected to contribute to the pedagogical improvement work, collegial learning, and collaborate with colleagues, management, relatives, and external actors such as schools and habilitation.

Furthermore, your job responsibilities include planning, implementing, and following up on pedagogical interventions together with your colleagues and ensuring the children's care needs. The work also includes documenting, observing, and evaluating the children's development and needs.

All work is based on the intentions of the LSS legislation and focuses on the children's rights perspective.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who, in addition to basic education, has a post-secondary education, qualified vocational training, university college, or university education with a specialization in the disability field equivalent to 200 YH points or 60 university credits.

To proceed in the process, you also need to have knowledge/experience of:

• pedagogical development and improvement work within the framework of LSS
• working with children and young people with autism, in e.g., LSS, schools, or leisure activities
• challenging behavior and clarification working methods

It is also important for the role that you have good computer skills, good documentation habits, and a B driver's license.

Other information

Working hours: The shifts vary in length. The morning shift usually starts at 06:30 and ends between 13:00–16:00. The afternoon shift usually starts between 13:00–15:00 and normally ends at 22:00. You work every other weekend.
